Welcome, to the New York Family Policy Council. Making New York a place for families to thrive.
You may be asking, "Why Bible-believing people should engage in politics?" Consider the following:
1) God always sent His prophets to confront politicians/kings and queens, because God expects them to obey His commandments and word.
Religion (Christianity) is2) America's Founding Fathers conjoined five freedoms in the first amendment of the US Constitution: 1) religion, 2) speech, 3) the press, and 4) for the people to assemble and 5) to redress grievances with the government. The Biblical philosophy of Christianity (Religion) is cited first because it was meant to be the guiding principle that guided the other four rights. The Founding Fathers expected American society, our public forums, our media, government and politics would obey and conform to Biblical guidelines.
3) The Christian churches did a pretty good job serving as the conscience of government until in 1954 when we were deceived by the 501(C(3) policy into withdrawing from our first amendment rights.
4) While not everyone has to be a Christian to enjoy Christianity's societal benefits, it is only under its consensus that people can continue to enjoy what has made America the most prosperous and generous society on planet earth.

Welcome to the New York Family Policy Council web site. The New York Family Policy Council was founded in 1992. Our motivation is to call New Yorkers and America back to the Bible based values upon which both the NYS and US Constitutions are founded.
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, motivating and mobilizing both the secular and Christian communities in New York to be active in advocating for Constitutional values in the political arena.

Realizing that God has given us these rights, the Founding Fathers called them "inalienable" and codified them within the US Bill of Rights.
We at the New Family Policy Council recognize that God loves us, and His Ten Commandments are provided as an extension of His loving-justice. This means that if I "love" you, I will not intentionally steal from you, deceive you or murder you. This also means that if I want to fulfill God's "justice" toward others, I also will not do these things to them.
Our goals include equipping and encouraging public servants and private citizens to live by and advocate for these values.
We believe this is what it means to to occupy as "salt and light" until Jesus returns. (Matt. 5: 13-16)
